SantaMatch is in essence a singles registry - it makes sure is that if you are registered and your ideal perfect match joins at some later point, you will be notified and introduced to each other. It is possible that if you just joined your perfect match is among existing members. However, it is just as likely that your "perfect match" has not joined yet. Since there are no monthly fees, canceling your account because SantaMatch didn't satisfy your need for instant gratification is foolish because you will miss out when your princess / knight in shining armor walks through the door at some later day (and a lot of people join SantaMatch every day).

Perfect matches are hard to find. On average you will be introduced only to about 1 in 100 of the people who join in your area (and about 1 in 50 if you checked "almost matches" in your member settings). That is why SantaMatch will seem "slow" and not much action going on relative to dating sites that you may have tried, but this was exactly our intention: to remove the hassle out of online dating by making sure that the only action is between compatible people and that both are interested in each other. On dating sites you spend hours sending emails (and receiving emails) to/from non-compatible people, something which is not only jading but frustrating, and causes a lot of people to be rude and offensive. So log in periodically and get approved, that's in essence all you need to do (email notifications are not reliable unfortunately) and sure enough, good things will happen when you least expect them.
